Geo's solution is utilized at Central Hudson for emergency response.
For timely restoration,
it's important that we get our crews out there and
our damage assessors to understand what has happened
within 48 hours and report back that information.
So we are having the correct crewing coming in,
the correct materials being
placed ahead of the crews getting there.
It's an all-inclusive need that really helps
us impact restoration times for our customers.
Before utilizing the IQGeo solution,
we utilized circuit maps
that were paper maps in large A7 format
that would be handed out to the crews with a homegrown,
like,
OMS case printout that gave them some information on the
on our substation and information on our substation
and information on the customers impacted.
They would take that along with the circuit map,
drive out to the field,
and literally write down on a piece of paper
all of the information that they found.
Those packets would come back
and maybe not get utilized because
it may not have been timely enough.
Utilizing IQGeo with our latest enhancement and upgrade,
the information is now coming back right into the outage
management screen for our teams to make quick decisions.
It's information they've never seen before real time.
It automatically places them on site and creates a timestamp.
That timestamp.
That timestamp can then show when an order came in,
when it was assigned,
and when it was assessed.
That is very important information for the company and for
our regulators so we can explain to them that we were
actually out there doing the right thing for our customer.
Adding applications,
adding applications,
whether it be for wires down response or wire guarding,
meter reading,
collection activity.
We could do so many things with a solution and
partnerships and collaboration that it is boundless.
The expectations are exceeded in everything they deliver to us.
As a utility,
to be able to have a communication with
an organization that listens and
develops and tests with you is amazing.
