Hi,
my name is Jake Adman.
I'm the SVP of Americas at IQGeo.
So I began in the geospatial industry in about 1990,
back in the UK,
working for Smallworld when we very first
started building geospatial systems.
In 1993,
I moved to the US with a couple of other
guys to open the Smallworld office,
worked through with Smallworld as we went
public in 97 and sold to GE in the year 2000.
And then left and joined a group of people
who built a company called Ubisense,
which then morphed into become IQGeo.
Probably about 30 years of experience in the geospatial industry.
First of all,
we are very focused in terms of working with
telecommunications and utility companies.
We specialize.
We don't try and do everything for everyone.
We work with complex networks.
We have industry experts that have many years of experience
and understand what our customers are going through.
I think secondly,
we made a bet on open source technology.
We saw a lot of innovations in that technology area,
in the geospatial area over the last few years.
And we capitalize on that by integrating the open source
technologies together and then obviously building on top of that
our own intellectual property to help solve customer problems.
And I think the final piece is we are absolutely
focused on workflows for our customers.
I think a lot of people get enamored with the technology,
fall in love with the bits and the bytes as opposed
to really focusing on the customer problems.
And they tend to circle around the workflows
and improving and automating workflows.
So I think if you add all those three things together,
that's why people are working with us
and want to partner with us as well.
And that's why people are working with us as well.
