Network Manager Telecom 3.5 new functionality: Fiber utilization report.

David Lowe, CEO, U.S. Today I'll be doing the utilization report. The report can be run from equipment, cables and splices. To generate the report, you can right click on your desired compatible feature in the tree view and search utilization report from the drop down list. There will be a confirmation window that shows up since this is a pretty expensive report to generate. essentially what it does is it runs traces on all of the ports and the selected feature and displays them in the report. In the configuration, you're able to specify which features you want to show up in the report. So you need to see we've got OLTs, ONTs, patch panels and building types. But more importantly, there are no fiber cables in it to keep things a bit more tidy. One thing to point out is the port and strand attributes here, they are aggregated attributes in the report. What that means is between the patch panel, the woodhead hub building and the ONT in the wall box, there are some cables and those cables had the following strand attributes. So strand status available, strand power to high and medium. But since those five cables do not show up in the report, we've basically cached those attributes and placed them in the next feature that show up in the report. Another thing to point out is what's going on with the manhole over here. So from one on this OLT, we go through the patch panels in the woodhead hub building, the cable does go all the way out to the manhole. However, it's not connected, I think, in the manhole. And that's why it appears red in the report. And that's why it appears red in the report.
