Hello, I'm here to talk you through brand attributes. If you're familiar with board attributes, there'll be a lot of familiar things here with some minor differences. So first thing I'm going to do is select this section of cable right here. And you'll notice that we've got a route with conduit and a fiber cable under it with a series of pins. We're not currently showing the strand attribute information. So I click here on the settings icon for the cable tree here and check port, show port or strand info. And now you can see that it's showing an eye for use or an eye for there is strand info. And then the two attributes here on each strand as part of the name or as part of the info in the tree. So if I were to right click on the tree. So if I were to right click and get a different view here, I can see on the cable, I can click view strand info and get a parallel view so that, you know, strand one is status used and priority critical. And that's what we're reflecting here, the status used and priority critical. And then as we go down, we'll see like, for instance, strand eight only has a status of available and has no status of available and has no priority at all. And then finally, if I just want to view that one, I can do it here, but it's not super useful, but you can, you can also multi-select like that and save you. So if you wanted to see a particular range of strands, then you can select them and bring them up that way. And the next step is if you wanted to edit or change some of these values. So you can, typically you're going to change one strand at a time. So I'm going to just pick this first one here. I'm going to click edit strand info. And I see the values that I'm, status of used and my priority is critical. I can change these values here to one of these other valid values from the enumeration. That's starting config. I'll show that to you in a bit. So we can go from, uh, use to, um, let's say we wanted to switch it to test or let's just say lit. Now I've changed the value on this particular, um, strand itself. But if I wanted to push it upstream or downstream, I have the option here by clicking on this check box. And then I specify whether I want to ripple or propagate that value downstream, upstream, or both. Um, and then when I noticed that it changed from okay for saving it on a single, uh, piece of cable to, I want to ripple it. So basically I'm going to go all the way to the source and then I'm going to go all the way down to the, to the customer and it's going to propagate this value lit. Um, both directions. I don't actually want to do that right now, but what I do want to do is demonstrate that if I wanted to edit multiple, um, strands, I can do that as long as the values are the same. So you can see here, uh, strands two and three, both have used and high. So I can pick those right, click, bring up the menu and say, edit strand info. And now I can edit both of those. If I were to, um, change those to available and just click save, you can see that the value has changed on both of those pins. Similarly, if I wanted to grab a large range here, um, and for instance, switch them to broken, uh, I can do that here. And now all of these strands have, have the status of broken. One thing that's important to note here with, um, strand info is that this is all driven by configuration, but for the sake of being able to edit configuration, we've provided the dialogue so that you can do that without actually going into the configuration pages. So if you click on this here, this tools icon, and then scroll down, you can see there's one for port info config. Here's one for strand info config. And here's where you can change a few things. Um, for example, you have to specify which technology you're working in. In this case, we're, we're working with fiber. The other option is copper. Um, also this value here where it says status and priority, we can change that if we want. Right now we only have status and priority, but say we wanted to only show status, then we could. Take out the square brackets in that field and just, just show status like that. Down here we see the, the values that we're storing on our strands. Um, the name, which is just an internal name. Here's the display name, which you can change to whatever you would like to, to show for that. The type. So it could be a string as, as in this case, or it could be an integer, a float, meaning a decimal number or a Boolean for true false. And in this case, we're using an enumeration for the valid values. Um, so that's specified here. Um, that all corresponds to an enumeration that's also stored in configuration that lets you, um, set those valid values. Music Music Music
