View transcript
in this short video we're going to share the flexible and Powerful modeling capabilities of iqgo's network manager Telecom software in this particular example you'll see how quick and easy it is to create an MDU and how the iqgo model anything principle applies to any object you'd like to capture in your network model using network manager Telecom you can quickly model an MDU location and capture the necessary address and structure detail from floors and risers to customer Gateway devices along with all the splicing and port to port connectivity to the outside plant drop cable serving the building to review the MDU modeling capabilities in network manager Telecom you can start with a simple one box search to find an MDU location once your MDU is selected you can first look at the building level attribute detail associated with this MDU including the mdu's provisionable status next you can review the hierarchical design layout showing all floors rooms MDU units and Equipment associated with each level of the multi-floor MDU at the bottom of the MDU details pane you can see all inside and outside plant cabling associated with this location from the details pane you can next have a look at the patch and splice connectivity in the first floor Telecom room which extends cable throughout the building to the fdh on each floor when reviewing each MDU unit on their Associated floors you can select input ports on their respective Gateway devices and view any assigned customer service reservations you can also select each MDU unit individually and see Associated customer and provisionable Status information from a snapshot of all cabling and connectivity associated with this MDU you can select the building structure and display and interact with the mdu's cabling and Equipment schematic layout derived from the design data entry lastly from the port connection on one of your MDU Gateway devices you can trace the connection's complete path to the light source in the network and navigate to the endpoint of that Trace by selecting the patch panel in the trace details list after navigating to the light source location you can review your point of presence location and locate the patch and service reservation for your MDU Gateway iqgo's network manager Telecom software allows you to Define any network location or device to the level of detail required by your organization using a simple configuration user interface the same optimized user interface also allows you to create and Define the behaviors of entirely new network equipment types for use within your network model thank you for your time and please check out our other network manager Telecom demo videos
