IQGeo Network Manager Telecom: Cell Tower explainer video
View transcript
in this short video we're going to share the flexible and Powerful modeling capabilities of iqgo's network manager Telecom software in this particular example we're going to see how quick and easy it is to create a Cellular Tower model and how the iqgo model anything principle applies to any objects that you'd like to capture in your network model using network manager you can model the tower location to capture the associated Gantry antenna ODU and riser cables along with the splicing and port to port connectivity to the outside plant cable serving the tower to review the tower capability in network manager you can start by selecting a tower and having a look at the Google aerial image layer that clearly displays The Shadow of Your structure with the tower selected you can look at the structure through the Google Street View context where you can see the antenna ODU cabling and serving cabinet at the base of the tower structure next you can review from the top of the hierarchical design model down starting with the properties in the tower structure itself and then to the Gantry arms supporting the antenna and ODU equipment by selecting the Gantry structure you can quickly see the associated equipment via hyperlink by next selecting a cellular antenna associated with the tower you can see its unique device properties and navigate to the specifications of that antenna when scrolling down in the tower model hierarchy you can see a splice structure receiving Riser fiber cabling and distributing fiber to each ODU in the tower Gantry arms from the splice tray you can expand each individual splice allocated on tray number one and with the right click display determination on either end of the splice point being reviewed starting with a specific patch device and outbound port in the point of presence navigating to the point of presence using the home bookmark button you can easily locate the patch panel and Port reviewed in your splice Point termination search that serves the tower once located you can expand all ports on the patch card to the point of presence and Trace all ports Downstream to their terminations as with all Network tracing done with network manager Telecom this Trace produces a trace result list in the details pane that will display information at Mouse over including individual culmination light loss this detail can be exported as a tabular report or by selecting the trace schematic button have the report exported with both the tabular and graphical Trace View iqgo's network manager Telecom software allows you to Define any network location or device to the level of detail required for your organization using a simple configuration user interface the same optimized user interface also enables you to create and Define the behaviors of entirely new network equipment types for use within your network model thank you for your time and please check out our other network manager Telecom demo videos
