In this video,
I'll be showing you how to get the total
calculated length for a select area.
We have
these service areas with boundaries in these polygon objects.
So what we will be doing is selecting one of those
wherever you would like to get the total length.
We'll only be pulling the length from within these boundaries.
So select the area that you would like,
click the search bar up at the top left,
and click build a code.
query.
Once you have that open, go to Fiber Cable.
And you can narrow this down to Owner and a lot of other fields.
For this case,
we'll just be keeping it blank and clicking in
selection so that it is only pulling from this area.
Click Run. Now we have all of those cables
and we can open it in a grid view here.
And it shows all of the calculated length.
These are all the estimated lengths based on the map
lines.
And from there we can export that in the export menu here.
We have a few different export formats.
And the CSV is the one that I would choose here so that I could sum
up all of these calculated lengths and find the total length for this
service area.
