In this tutorial,
I'll cover how to set cable tick mark values or table
incremental values along the length of an installed cable.
So typically this would be done post-construction once the
reels have been cut and we understand where the meter
marks and what meter mark values start and end on a cable.
But post-construction when you wanted to document these values,
you would come in to your cable view,
select an endpoint of the cable where you
understand the meter mark value start point.
So in this case,
we start here and we set that value.
So this would be where that cable had been cut on a prior
installation and where we've now pulled it up to our pedestal
here in this location up on the north side of our development.
And for that same cable,
we're going to apply the end mark value.
So again,
post-construction,
they would understand what meter mark values were used
at the end and start point of this cable installation.
And we can insert that on either end.
We can also insert the meter mark values midpoint along cable at
really any structure point that we would like to along that cable path.
So we've now set the start and the end point and
we can see that here on those cable end pieces.
It's documented there in the detail pane under cables.
And we'll come back down to like the
midpoint of this distribution cable.
And we'll take one end of that distribution cable here
and we'll go ahead and apply our midpoint value that was
applied to us for construction at the as-built phase.
So in this case,
we've set the start and end point first and we've come to a
midpoint segment of the cable and applied our midpoint value.
