Streamlining the entire fiber network lifecycle.

My role is to drive and build up the rollout on the fiber factory for the construction part of Deutsche Glasfaser, meaning with designs, projects and documentation. We have made the choice to go with Comsof and with the IQGeo as the single source of truth. At a strategic level, this is crucial for the way we are going right now and if we don't use IQGeo, we would of course have to look in the field for a similar product. We have done our research and found that IQGeo is what is best suited for Deutsche Glasfaser, both now and in the future, both looking at integration and also looking into the possibilities in the future. What can we get and what can we build out of it? The main benefit when we are rolling out full scale would be the live and here and now updates. That means anything happening in the field can go back to the project or the design office and we will then be able to make the changes. They can see it instantly on their tablet, telephone and so on. It is always important also because then with this IQGeo system and the software, we can actually flag in as soon as something has been noted as built. That means we no longer have the lay on, has this been built, yes or no, or is it in construction? IQGeo has this beautiful thing with the three steps, plan, construction and build. So you can actually pinpoint out exactly where in the design or where in the street, where the houses are, what is planned, what is under construction and what has been built. So that is a great benefit. For the employees in my department who are using IQGeo and the software about it, are extremely happy about the friendliness of how to use it. The interface is good. For us as a company, you can actually have it between English and German depending on what is your preferred language. In Germany, it is very important that the design and the documentation you give to the constructors in the field, the engineers, that is simple and easy to use because that way they don't spend time on it and they can also for the same time generate more work. So that is one of the very big benefits that we have with the IQGeo tools.
